Acute septic arthritis in children is usually hematogenous, is more common in boys, and most often affects the large joints of the lower limb. Acute septic arthritis in children is an orthopedic emergency. A delay in diagnosis and inadequate treatment can result in devastating damage to the child. Along with lifelong disability, the clinical presentation can be a diagnostic challenge, especially in young children. The objective was to report a case of diagnosis and treatment in a child with septic arthritis, concomitant with the diagnosis of endocarditis, in a child with autism spectrum disorder. In conclusion, it was possible to diagnose and treat arthritis as well as endocarditis.
