Psychodermatosis in medicine students at a private university in the west of Paraná

The skin is an organ of expression, the connections it maintains with the nervous system make it highly sensitive to emotions, regardless of consciousness, with the skin being a target organ of the psychological component. Thus, emotional factors and stress are present both in triggering and aggravating some skin diseases, called psychodermatoses. This study aims to analyze the correlation between psychological factors and psychiatric disorders in the manifestation of psychodermatosis in medical students at a private university in western Paraná. With this, described the evidence of these associated pathological manifestations and how a more effective treatment was obtained, which was when the research participants used psychotherapeutic support together with the Dermatologist's follow-up.
