Abstract

This study brought the implications of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic on diseases of the respiratory system - highlighting tuberculosis, COPD, asthma, bronchiolitis and Pneumonia - especially how they behaved in the different months of the pandemic and their relationship with the measures adopted by the WHO and Ministry of Health in the fight against the coronavirus. The final finding was a comparison of the previous two years with the first two years of the pandemic. In view of this, this study addressed how the pandemic changed the scenario of the most common respiratory diseases in the state of Paraná, given the reduction in the number of hospitalizations in the period analyzed. For this, data was collected on the Data SUS platform, regarding the availability of hospitalizations for respiratory diseases in the state of Paraná, during the years 2018 to 2021. to 2019, there is also a lower monthly average in 2021, 31.6% lower than the previous year. Analyzing the data, it was stated that the impact on the reduction of hospitalizations is due to multiple factors, and that its implications are still a study method.
