Abstract

Brazil works with both renewable and non-renewable energy models. This article aims to show an application of "On-Grid" renewable energy in terms of energy generation and costs. A case study of a fictitious project was conducted using a non-systematic narrative literature review. The system works by having sunlight hit the modules and, through chemical reactions, generate energy that, together with several modules, generates voltage and current. In this project, 10 modules of 540W were used with one PHB 5KWp inverter, with the expectation of generating 6628KWh. The results show that the system was very efficient and effective, since it generated more energy than expected over a year and provides an excellent financial return, as it pays for the investment in less than 5 years and basically has another 20 years of the system working to generate a real profit.
