Orientações de saúde bucal nas escolas infantis tem realmente um impacto positivo para prevenção de agravos bucais?

A doença cárie, assim como outros agravos bucais são influenciáveis por diversos fatores, muitos deles podem ser modificados para prevenção de saúde bucal através de orientações de prevenção. A escola é um espaço privilegiado para práticas de promoção de saúde e prevenção de doenças para as crianças, pois traz conforto. O objetivo dessa revisão de literatura do tipo narrativa foi investigar os diversos artigos que analisaram o impacto das orientações de saúde bucal nas escolas para melhoria da saúde bucal em crianças. Quando é realizado um treinamento de professores, fornecimento de acesso a serviços de saúde bucal e envolvimento dos pais, temos um efeito positivo nos resultados da saúde bucal. Além das orientações de uma escovação efetiva, deve-se também orientar as práticas em casa, melhorando até mesmo na qualidade de vida relacionada a saúde bucal. Porém, não basta somente as crianças absorverem a informação passada, elas necessitam de exemplos. Na maioria dos estudos conseguimos observar que apesar de não ter um método definido, quando temos uma boa preparação dos profissionais e envolvimento dos pais e professores, o impacto dessas ações passa a ser de extrema relevância para melhora da saúde bucal em crianças.
