It is known that HAG complications can be prevented through early diagnosis for high-risk pregnancies, regular prenatal care, individualized assistance, and an effective and rapid referral system. This study aimed to identify the complications of gestational hypertension. An integrative review was conducted based on studies published in journals indexed in the LILACS and EBSCO databases. At the end of the study, it was evident that pre-eclampsia, eclampsia, gestational hypertension, and HELLP syndrome are the most frequent complications of HAG. In this way, the nurse is essential in implementing a specialized and individual care plan, with the aim of humanizing care, aiming at prevention, promotion, and recovery of the health of these pregnant women.
Glaucia Ferreira Costa; Michele Fernandes da Silva; Vivian Cristina Dias Gonçalves Copyright (c) 2025 Glaucia Ferreira Costa; Michele Fernandes da Silva; Vivian Cristina Dias Gonçalves https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/604 Thu, 09 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Palliative care in Pediatric Nursing https://eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/605
Over the years, childhood cancer has shown a significant improvement in overall survival rates. However, despite this progress, it remains a major cause of death in this population. However, it is often not a question of diseases that cannot be cured, and the best way to promote quality of life during cancer treatment is to introduce palliative care early, aiming to provide attention and care to the child's physical and psychosocial needs and from your family. The purpose of this study is to identify, in scientific productions, nursing interventions for pediatric palliative care, through a narrative literature review through the SCIELO database, carried out between November 2020 and January 2021. The following inclusion criteria were defined: articles in Portuguese, addressing the theme of Palliative Care in Pediatric Oncology, using a time frame from 2012 to 2020, available in the SCIELO databases. Eight articles that met the inclusion criteria were analyzed.
Michele Fernandes da Silva Copyright (c) 2025 Michele Fernandes da Silva https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/605 Fri, 10 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The contribution of Information Technology in the Promotion of preventive behaviors against HIV: An analysis of the youth engagement strategy through the SMS BIZ service in the city of Maputo https://eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/626
This study aims to investigate the relationship between the use of information technology in HIV prevention and the efficacy of SMS BIZ as means of promoting health among young residents in Maputo. The research seeks to understand how this service impacts the adoption of preventive practices by examining the factors for its acceptance, and the challenges faced within the Mozambican context. Furthermore, the study assesses the effectiveness of this technology in disseminating accessible information and its potential to overcome geographical and social barriers. A qualitative approach was adopted, combining direct observation and structured interviews with users, technical staff, and service managers. The data were analyzed through thematic analysis, enabling the recognition of trends, insights, and challenges in young people's interactions with technology. These findings helped shape the strategy for enhancing the implementation and operation of the service. User experiences emphasize that, although information technology contributes significantly to delivering accessible and reliable information on sexual and reproductive health, ongoing technological oversight is required to maintain the service's efficiency. Therefore, it is concluded that, despite advancements in information accessibility, the reduction of taboos, and broader availability of the service, the effectiveness of SMS BIZ still faces operational barriers that hinder its impact. Thus, investing in technological infrastructure, strengthening response capacity, and enhancing technical support are key measures to boost the service and ensure a more consistent impact on preventive behaviors against HIV.
Francelino Edson Manuel Murela; Gohlmén Ribaué Copyright (c) 2025 Francelino Edson Manuel Murela; Gohlmén Ribaué https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/626 Wed, 12 Mar 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Main challenges and recommendations in the design, implementation and evaluation of Educational Policies in Mozambique https://eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/627
This article aims to examine the challenges faced in the design, implementation and evaluation of educational policies in Mozambique, highlighting the difficulties that negatively affect the development of the educational system in the country. Therefore, the methodology used in this article sought to analyze and interpret the existing literature, such as the pathology of shoulder impingement syndrome, and used secondary sources such as research in articles in databases in social sciences, which addressed the proposed theme. For data collection, bibliographic research was used, which was done from the survey of theoretical references already analyzed and published in written and electronic media, such as books, and scientific articles, among others.
Muanarifa Ali Mussa; Grécia da Nina Eugénio Copyright (c) 2025 Muanarifa Ali Mussa; Grécia da Nina Eugénio https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/618 Fri, 21 Feb 2025 00:00:00 +0000 Contributions of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to the Success of SMEs https://eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/599
The general objective of this article is to describe the impact of the contributions of the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) to the success of SME’s. The central objective was to investigate how digital technologies can contribute to the teaching-learning process, identifying both the benefits and challenges associated with their implementation. Methodologically, the research adopted a qualitative approach, with a literature review based on academic sources published between 2019 and 2024, drawing references from databases such as Google Scholar, SciELO, and CAPES Journals. The results showed that digital technologies provide expanded access to information, teaching flexibility, personalized learning, and the development of essential 21st-century skills, such as autonomy, critical thinking, and problem-solving. However, significant challenges persist, including unequal access to technology, inadequate teacher training, data privacy and security risks, and excessive reliance on electronic devices. To overcome these obstacles, strategies such as continuous teacher training, inclusive public policies, effective digital literacy, and the adoption of innovative pedagogical methodologies were suggested. It is concluded that, although digital technologies alone cannot solve the structural problems of education, when critically and sustainably planned and implemented, they have the potential to positively transform the Brazilian educational landscape, preparing students to face contemporary challenges.
Cidália Alves do Monte Copyright (c) 2025 Cidália Alves do Monte https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://eacademica.org/eacademica/article/view/600 Mon, 06 Jan 2025 00:00:00 +0000
